Just a brief message to let you all know that we are still here in Cabo San Lucas because of an unusual weather condition that is causing North East and East Winds up to 30 knots accompanied by high seas. Unfortunately they are coming directly from the course we need to sail to get to Mazatlan, so we are safely ensconced in a Marina. All the harbors are closed because of the weather, so we couldn't leave even if we wanted to. The forecast has had the conditions improving on a daily basis, but it hasn't happened yet. This morning, Saturday, they said "maybe Tuesday". Hope the holiday season is happy for all of you, it's not much like our usual Christmas weather here with 80 degree air and water termperatures. Our next e-mail should be from Mazatlan after we get there. It is a 36 hour passage from here. Colin & Patricia Shannon-Garvey |
